I've started a new blog for Highschool DxD Season 5 today. About high school DxD season five 2021 is gone now we are in 2022. Still we have got no news about the season five for now.
In case if you don't know January 6 was the 10th year anniversary of Highschool DxD season 1 of Dxd was published in January 2012. So 10 years ago today Highschool Dxd taught the anime world a bit of culture. But it lasted for four seasons then they're an indefinite hiatus that took place and now no one knows when season five will come! But a lot of you guys may not know Highschool DxD anime has four ova. Which were released with the Blu-ray discs.
I guess you can watch them if you haven't they are non-canon episodes but fun to watch. Now let's focus on the topic a lot of websites are saying the release date for season five has been confirmed.
If you search on google you will see almost every website is saying the release date for season five is confirmed. Maybe that's why a lot of you guys have asked me about season five recently but none of this Info is true only and only trust official announcements.
So the author Ishibumi had given us some hints previously by saying that if the overseas fans want new Highschool DxD anime then best is to support the translated light novel sales. Until now five volumes of Highschool DxD has been translated into an English version of volume six will release in February of this year.
Highschool DxD anime has covered only nine to ten volumes I guess whereas in total 25 volumes of Highschool DxD novels are available not only that after the 25 volumes of the main story the author has written another sequel of it. Which is known as Shin-Highschool DxD
So there are tons of volumes for the anime to adapt then why it's taking a huge time for Highschool DxD season five. There are some other important factors out there but I think what the author of Highschool DxD is trying to do is that he wants to translate most of the light novel volumes before signing a contract or launching season five.
So that when season five will end a huge portion of the western audience who are not Japanese will jump into the translated light novels to know what happens later thus the sales will help the author to gain more profit.
Anime is one of the best creations of japan but to be honest, in most cases it is like a promotional media for the manga or light novels because the authors only make a huge portion of money from manga or light novel sales.
Classroom of the elite anime is a great example it is said that the anime was only ever made to promote the light novel so to know more about the story there is nothing to do but to read the light novel. So I think we may have to wait for any news regarding Highschool Dxd season 5 until almost half of the light novel volumes of High School DxD are translated.
Again it's just an assumption of mine to take this as a grain of salt as there's no new news about High School DxD season 5. There is nothing for us to do but wait if I get any leaks or news about season 5 of DxD I will try my best to notify you guys until then stay tuned to Anime24NewsUpdate.
